Jackie Guerrido moved from her Puerto Rican hometown to the Bronx in New York City where she studied acting and production. When Jackie moved to Miami in 1997, she studied journalism at the University of Miami. Since her youth, Jackie’s beauty did not go unnoticed. She worked as a model for several campaigns, and in 1996 attended open auditions for the film Selena. Discovered by a producer who heard her doing a voice-over, she began working at WSKQ’s morning show, El Vacilon de la Mañana in NYC. Followed by countless numbers of radio hosting opportunities, Guerrido settled down in Miami and she joined the HBC Radio Company.
In 2010 she was a finalist for the Spanish version of Dancing with the Stars called Mira Quien Baila. As the requests for the rising radio host kept coming, she finally landed a job as a weather reporter for Univision. Jackie began giving daily weather reports on Despierta America every morning, and now keeps us updated on Primer Impacto, one of the highest-rated shows in the United States. Guerrido is also now hosting the segment of Variety in Spanish.
